Well, I just thought that I would update on my brothers missionary experience as well as post some pictures that he sent. He is serving right on the border of Tijuana and is loving it. There are many cerros (hills) that they have to climb to get to people's houses and he says that there is dirt everywhere! He loves the members and says they are very nice.
So, this first picture is very sad and if you can't stand seeing dead animals then don't look at the picture lol. I asked Elder Guzman about it and he said that for some reason people dump dead dogs in cardboard boxes in random places like on the street. I love dogs and can't stand looking at this picture too long. It's soooo sad :( But that is exactly the type of picture that my brother would want lol. His companion looks more disgusted, I guess he has a heart.
Elder Guzman and some companions.
A Family that they baptized :)
A young man that they baptized :)
We continually pray for Elder Guzman and his companions that they may have the strength to keep going and the spirit to guide them. I am so grateful that my younger brother is serving the Lord :)

OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!! I lost my phone recently and I stop having contact with Elder Guzman, I have been looking for him so bad!!!! Thank you very much father in heaven for this opportunity. My name is Lidia Torres, I live in Tijuana Baja California close to the Insurgentes Stake chappel. Last year, I faced a divorce and I was destoyed, I even tought about suicide( which now I regreat). One day my baby was sick and his dad was not at home, he needed his medicines because he was having fever. I had to go to the Oxxo(minimarket here) to buy some air time to my phone. I met Two amazing people there, they were called Elder Thibault and Elder Guzman. My ex husband is an inactive LDS and I thought that perhaps converting to the same religion and going to church and ask for help there will save my marriage. So I talked to the Elders and they get my information, after a few days I received the visit that changed my life in the best direction. Long story make short, I was a difficult case to work with, I always had a rebuttal, i alwas was doubting I was blind by the pain of loosing my family, and regardless all this things, Elder Guzman helped me.. (sorry I'm crying) and he never let me down, he never stop believing in me, he understood that I was being like that transformed by the pain, he never gave up on me, he was there to help me in everything, even when the electricity service on the house was suspended, they were there!! We used to light up with a lamp to read the messages they were delivering me. For me that was a beautiful shown of care and love, that love that our Father in heaven taught us through Jesus Christ. I doubt about my baptism and that as well was not a problem to Elder Guzman, he kept on. When I was not at home he also use to left little notes reminding me to pray and read the book of Mormon. Then my heart was finally touched and I decided to take the baptism. But .....(crying again) Elder Guzman was moved to another State!! :'( he couldn't be present that day :'( to see that all his efford was finally blooming. However, I know that he prayed for me on that day. I wrote him a letter on my Book of Mormon. If you ever have the chance to read this Elder Guzman, I just want to say thank you, thank you for not giving up, for your constance, for your hope, for everything you gave as a gift to my life. Your parents must be proud for having you as a son, because they were able to raise you on the gospel, they can be sure that you definately saved me as your mission ask you for. Last sunday I share my testimony with the church for the first time and even when I did not mention your name I mention all your efford for me to understand and accept this the only and true religion. I admire you a lot and I will work so hard with my children, so they can get the call from their hearts and hopefully one day they can save someone in the same situation. I will remain on the way, because I know more that ever this is the real church, that the Book of Mormon is another gospel for Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith Jr was the choosen one to restablish Jesus's church, and that the president Thomas S Monson is our living Prophet I share this to you in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
