Tough Mudder!

For those of you who don't know, the Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile challenge of obstacles that tests your overall physical condition.  It is used as a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.

This past Saturday, some of the Fraziers competed in it and I wanted to post some pictures.  These are just from my camera but I can tell you that there were many many more pictures.  There were 21 obstacles but I was only able to watch these few.  It was fun to watch!  I would probably have to train for a full year to be even close to finishing this challenge!

The crew:  Tonya, Justin, Jeff, Jacob, Jason, Dillon (the only non-frazier), and Joe

Pre-race jitters, there were sooooo many people!

Pouring ice into the ice bath

Going over the first Berlin Wall

Going under the electric wire...

Hangin' Tough!

As you can see, they have lost some members of their team behind :(

Joe almost made it to the end but right on the last ring he fell and put a big gash in his shin because of the 2x4's that lined the end platform.  It was a big bummer and definitely hurt!

Mount Everest

The monkey bars!

The final obstacle, the electric shock (or something lol).
Jeff and Justin really biffed it on this one because of the electric shock and I got mud splattered all over my shirt because of it.  But that's okay, I got a good pic :)
Tonya was scared to go through it and took a long time but she eventually did it.

The end analysis:  Joe had a minor injury, they all had scrapes, some really wanted their beer :), but overall they had a blast!

San Diego Zoo

A few weeks ago, Joel surprised me with a trip to the famous San Diego Zoo.  I love going to zoo's and this one especially was fantastic (theres a reason why it is famous lol).  We spent more than half of the day there and we were able to view all of the exhibits and do most of the fun events there.  It was awesome.

It was the first time that we had seen polar bears and pandas in real life!  It was so cool!  The polar bears are so entertaining.  While we were in the bus tour, the polar bears seemed to have been doing water exercises because one of them was doing back strokes and a back flip in the water over and over and over and over......and over again.  The other was doing stairs under the water I think lol.

We also got on the chair lift that takes you over the entire zoo and it was amazing to see that amidst a big city there could be a big display of animals.  We truly had a great time!

On the lift

He wanted a picture like this lol, i don't know why

Actual size of a polar bear!

We watched while she fed him, he was so close!  I could have reached out my hand and touched him!

 Doing their exercises!

I look like a 12 year old, lol

On the way back from the zoo, we stopped by the San Diego Temple and it was so cool.  It really does look like the pictures, a big castle! :)
